Blackburn's Steven Reid has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at Ewood Park until 2010. The Ireland international had been attracting interest from Spurs and Manchester United, but has pledged his future to the Lancashire club, whom he joined from Millwall in a STG2.5million deal in 2003. Rovers chairman John Williams told the club's official website www.rovers.co.uk: "We are delighted that Steven has pledged his future to Rovers. "He made a major impact last term and it is very good news that he is happy to sign a new deal.
