Iain Dowie has emerged as the front-runner to succeed Phil Parkinson at Hull after holding talks with the Coca-Cola Championship strugglers, chairman Adam Pearson confirmed.
Dowie, 41, is seeking a swift return to management after his ill-fated spell at Charlton resulted in him being sacked last month after just 15 matches in charge.
And Pearson said: "We are talking to Iain as part of the process but there's a lot of people to get through."
