Premiership target Daniel Alves has agreed a one-year contract extension with Primera Liga leaders Sevilla which ties him to the club until June 2012.
This is the fourth extension the highly-rated full-back has signed since joining Sevilla from Brazilian side Bahia in 2003, although the buy-out clause in his contract remains at 60million euros (40.3million).
The 23-year-old, whose existing deal was due to run out in 2011, had been linked with a number of Europe's biggest clubs in recent months with Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid all reportedly showing an interest in the attacking defender. However, Alves has committed himself to Sevilla, and club sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo is delighted with the decision.
