Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger feels his young side are learning to cope with the physical demands of the Barclays Premiership after scraping a 1-0 win at Wigan.
Emmanuel Adebayor toe-poked home the 88th-minute winner to lift the Gunners to third in the Premiership, albeit still 15 points behind leaders Manchester United. It was only Arsenal's fourth away win of the season as Wenger's side have stuttered on their travels, but the Frenchman feels the signs are there.
"That's the kind of game a year ago we would have lost 1-0, but we managed to win it 1-0," said Wenger. "We know a little bit better how to cope with the kind of game Wigan gave us because it was physical."
