Everton have finally signed Brazilian midfielder Anderson de Silva after immigration problems were resolved.
The Toffees agreed to buy the player from Uruguayan side National Montevideo a year ago, but he could not join the Goodison Park club as he did not possess the necessary passport but that issue has now been solved and de Silva, 24, has signed on a short-term deal.
Chief executive Keith Wyness said: "We have resolved the immigration issues regarding Anderson de Silva and he has now joined the club on a short-term contract."
