Newell hangs on to Edwards
Luton boss Mike Newell has revealed the club have turned down three bids for highly-rated midfielder Carlos Edwards.
Trinidad & Tobago star Edwards, 28, has been attracting interest from a host of clubs and could still be set for a new year transfer, with Newell admitting he could not guarantee any of his players will be staying at Kenilworth Road.
"We've had three bids for Carlos. Two in the last week and also another phonecall from another club," said Newell. "Our club has turned down the offers. One is not a million miles away, though."
