Celtic manager Gordon Strachan believes Shaun Maloney's agent is playing a dangerous game with his client's career with a move to the Premiership still a possibility.
After months of talks between agent John Halliwell and the Parkhead club, Maloney has still to extend his current deal which expires in the summer. And, with the end of the January transfer window drawing closer, Strachan is less than impressed with the way Halliwell is conducting business on behalf of the Scotland international.
He said: "The player's adviser, and I use that term loosely, says there is an interest in Shaun from Fulham. But I don't know if that's part of the game. Everyone knows we have to play this game of taking things to the limit. But there is one scenario where both parties can win and another where you can end up with two losers if the game becomes too tricky."
