Mark Hughes believes Blackburn's latest injury victim Brett Emerton is paying the price for a lack of rest.
The Australian winger, who has also played at right-back for Rovers, picked up a hamstring injury in the 1-0 midweek Barclays Premiership defeat at Charlton. Emerton is the latest victim of Blackburn's injury curse and has joined three other key players on the sidelines until after Christmas.
Hughes said: "We've lost Brett Emerton again to a hamstring, I think that is a consequence to the summer that he's had with his World Cup involvement. It looks as if it is the same injury that he suffered earlier in the season. I hope, though, it's not too severe - and we can get him back in a couple of weeks."
