Shelbourne Fc have announced that Pat Fenlon has resigned as manager. This will be of little surprise to many as it is clear the Fenlon was having problems with Chairman Ollie Byrne . These problems arose when Ollie Byrne slated the player in the press and most importantly he was not able to pay the players wages every week.

A strike was diverted just days before Shels clinched the League title. Fenlon who accepted and then turned down the Bohemian FC job must be a favourite to land the Derry City job following Stephen Kennys move to Dunfermline.

Shels now look very likely to lose some of their star player such as Irish International Glen Crowe and Jason Byrne. Indeed Bohemian FC will be likely to sign some of thier players as they bid to dominate the Eircom league following their financial situation.
