Argentina striker Carlos Tevez is itching to break his West Ham duck in Wednesday night's Barclays Premiership clash with Wigan.
After a slow start, Tevez is growing more accustomed to the rough and tumble of English football and he has started the Hammers' last three games. There were moments in the defeat to Everton at the weekend when West Ham fans saw why Tevez was voted the Brazilian league's player of the year last season.
Tevez said: "I definitely feel that, little by little, I am getting to where I want to be in terms of the level of my performances. I feel more and more comfortable with every game I play but, as a striker, it is scoring goals that defines you as a good player, which I am yet to do. I hope that is coming soon."
