Paris St Germain head coach Guy Lacombe has told underperforming midfield ace Vikash Dhorasoo to adopt a more professional approach if he wants to nail down a starting role.
Dhorasoo was a member of the France squad which reached the final of the World Cup in Germany in the summer.
Formerly of Olympique Lyonnais and Milan, he is regarded as one of the most gifted playmakers in French football - but his application has left plenty to be desired and he has spent the past four games, including Saturday's 0-0 draw with Nancy, watching from the sidelines.
Lacombe, whose side take on Derry City in a Uefa Cup first round tie this week, said: "Vikash asked me for an explanation and I told him he was not performing well enough.
"He is not professional enough on the pitch considering his potential. I can forgive him but he has to apologise publicly to the players and the staff."
Premiership side Bolton Wanderers are said to be weighing up a move for the 32-year-old in the January transfer window.
