Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes greater consistency from his team can go a long way to closing the gap on Barclays Premiership leaders Manchester United.
United are still 14 points ahead of third-placed Arsenal and all but those inside the Emirates Stadium have written off their chances of challenging Sir Alex Ferguson's side or defending champions Chelsea.
"Of course to be 14 points behind bothers me and I cannot say that it does not," said Wenger. "I know we sound a bit crazy but no matter how big the gap is we want to get it down as much as possible and you never know. The first step for us is to be consistent and get the points. After that we will see."
