Walter Smith watched Rangers romp to a 5-0 win over Dundee United in his first game in charge - then urged them to produce the goods every week.
A Kris Boyd double and goals from Charlie Adam, Chris Burke and Barry Ferguson clinched a crucial Bank of Scotland Premier League victory, as Smith's second term at Ibrox got off to a flying start. Smith has told his players they must rise to the challenge in the months ahead.
He said: "I've been the manager here before and the expectation level is always great. It's up to everybody here to rise to that level of expectation. You don't get very much time so we have to instil a level of consistency that will help us achieve and that's why we're here."
