Terry backs Mourinho

Chelsea captain John Terry claims he would be prepared to plead with the club hierarchy for manager Jose Mourinho to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho's future has been the subject of speculation in recent days with the Portuguese boss spurning opportunities to dismiss reports he will leave in the summer.

Terry said: "We all agree that we don't want Jose to go and if it takes five or six of the senior players to tell them so, then that's what we're prepared to do."
