Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho insists that record buy Andriy Shevchenko is not finding it hard to adapt to the game in England despite his difficult start to the season.

The former AC Milan striker, bought for 30million by Chelsea during the summer, has yet to show the kind of form that made him one of the most feared strikers throughout the world. Shevchenko has been forced to take a back seat to Ivory Coast strike partner Didier Drogba who hit a spectacular winner against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Mourinho said: "Sheva is an absolutely beautiful player. But at the moment I know you want more from him. I want more from him. He wants more from himself. I don't think he has problems adapting because we are playing exactly the same style and system he played at Milan. But he's happy. He will score goals, for sure."
