Michael Ballack has returned to full team practice for the first time since suffering a nagging calf injury which kept him out of the opening match against Costa Rica.
The recent Chelsea signing has been on the sidelines since picking up a knock in Germanys final warm-up match against Colombia on June 2. After going through Monday's full training session, the Germany skipper now looks set to start against Poland.
"I could fully practice and I was happy to work out with the team again, so I am looking forward to the match on Wednesday," Ballack said. "I am very happy to get started. Our team is full of confidence and we know what to expect."
