Cash strapped club win in Europe
Eircom League minnows Shelbourne FC won there first leg Intertoto Cup fixture against FK Vetra 1-0. The Southside Dublin club however are in serious financial trouble at present with rummors suggesting that former Irish Internationals Glen Crowe and Alan Moore are about to depart the club due to unpaid wages by the dubious character that is Ollie Byrne.
In the game itself Dillon headed Joseph Ndo's cross to the net three minutes before the break to give the Reds the breakthrough.The eircom League side now need only a draw back at Tolka Park next weekend to progress to the second round.
