New Wolves manager Mick McCarthy is interesting in rejoining forces with Everton's former Irish international midfielder Lee Carsley.
McCarthy gave Carsley his Irish bow against Romania in 1997 and the combative midfielder went on to win 29 caps under McCarthy and successor Brian Kerr.
The 32-year-old spent most of last season on the Everton sidelines after picking up a troublesome knee injury, his presence sorely missed by Toffees boss David Moyes.
And on learning that Carsley was not included in the Everton squad for a two-match tour of the United States, McCarthy is interested in bringing the experienced midfielder to Molineux.
