Sir Alex Ferguson has questioned John Terry's inclusion in the 23-man World Cup All-Star squad ahead of Rio Ferdinand.

The Chelsea skipper was the only England player to be included by FIFA's team of experts following the national side's disappointing performances in Germany. Yet Ferguson has no idea how such a conclusion was reached given the Manchester United boss believes his 29.1million central defender was England's best player at the tournament.

"How John Terry got in front of Rio amazes me," said Ferguson. "Rio had a fantastic season and a great World Cup. I think he was England's best player in Germany and most people would agree."
