Reid notice sent to wrong club
The notice informing Andy Reid of his recall to the Republic of Ireland squad last week was sent to his former club Spurs and not current employers Charlton Athletic, it has been revealed.
Reid spent 18 months at White Hart Lane but left the north London club to join Iain Dowie's Addicks in August.
But Spurs had to forward notification of his recall to the Irish international squad for the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers to Charlton after receiving Reid's notice from the FAI last week.
