Lualua warned over referee comments

Portsmouth forward Lomana LuaLua has been warned as to his future conduct by the Football Association after admitting a charge of improper conduct. The charge against the DR Congo international related to comments made about referee Uriah Rennie following Pompey's match against Tottenham on December 12 last year.

LuaLua, who requested a personal hearing, said following his side's 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane: "It does not help when the referee is playing for the other team." Referring to the late penalty award to Spurs which helped them secure the victory, he added: "It should never have been a penalty and if it was not for that decision I think we would have got something from the game."
