Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy revealed that former boss Graeme Souness was 'a liar'.

The revelation comes after both men fell out, an argument that was made public. Bellamy was forced out of Newcastle, and so went to join Celtic on loan for the remainder of the 2004/05 season.

The Wales international also admitted that he finished top scorer, despite only being at St James Park until Christmas.

"I didn't lose my way at Newcastle. I still ended up joint top league scorer, even though I was only there until just after Christmas."

Bellamy also revealed that he was hurt at being branded a 'disruptive influence by Souness.

"It's not nice when you are branded a 'disruptive influence' by the manager and told that you're the reason the team is doing badly."
