Veteran Holland midfielder Phillip Cocu has signed a new one-year contract with Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven.
The 35-year-old, who is in the Dutch squad for the World Cup, has agreed a short-term deal after months of negotiations with PSV. Cocu, capped 96 times by his country, will see out his playing days in Eindhoven and PSV coach Rob Westerhof is delighted to have signed the experienced holding midfielder up for another year.
Westerhof told the club's website: "Cocu is a key player in the team's success and I am very glad he will show his qualities for another year at PSV."
