Portsmouth have completed the double capture of Chelsea full-back Glen Johnson on a season-long loan and Tony Adams as their new assistant manager.
Former Arsenal and England defender Adams been given the opportunity to return to full-time coaching at Fratton Park and 21-year-old Johnson - who has fallen out of favour at Chelsea - has signed for the south-coast club.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp told the club's website, pompeyfc.co.uk: "It is no secret that I have long admired Glen. He is a top defender and will continue to get better, so this is a real top quality capture for us."
