Ferdinand loving the pressure
Rio Ferdinand insists he revels in the pressure surrounding England as they move into the closing stages of the World Cup.
Ashley Cole claimed earlier this week that the intensity and expectation to succeed was stifling. The England left-back said it was hard to enjoy the occasion but his defensive colleague cannot wait for the tension of Saturday's quarter-final against Portugal.
Ferdinand, 27, said: "I love it when there's pressure to do well and achieve things and go out there and perform. Everyone's different. Maybe Ashley is seeing it from a different angle but I like it when there's pressure on and you have to go out and perform."
