French compared with 1998 vintage
French sports minister Jean-Francois Lamour has compared the team that beat Spain 3-1 on Tuesday to the triumphant side of the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.

"I am so happy, I feel the French team is back, the one that we love so much from 1998 and 2000," said Lamour. "They gave all they had and went beyond their limits while remaining creative."
