Tottenham's South Korean defender Lee Young-Pyo has denied his decision to pull out of a move to Roma was related to his religious beliefs.
Reports in Korea following the collapse of the deal suggested the 29-year-old former PSV Eindhoven defender had changed his mind as a result of his devotion to his Christian faith.
"The reasons are personal but it had nothing to do with religion at all," he said. "I didn't even think about religion once. I don't know how those rumours started."
