Derry City manager Stephen Kenny paid tribute to his centre halves and stressed their Uefa Cup tie against Paris St Germain was far from over after last night's exhilirating 0-0 draw at the Brandywell.
The home side produced a magnificent performance and had an appeal for a stone wall penalty turned down by the referee after Kevin McHugh was brought down in the box.
However, Derry can take great heart from the match and look forward to the second leg with an air of optimism, while Kenny believes a more open game will suit his side.
"I think we can get through the second leg and I think the pitch and their willingness to play a more open game will suit us," said an elated Kenny.
"I would not say that I am confident, but I have an open mind about it. Ken Oman and Darren Kelly were awesome for us in the middle of defence and they showed up the PSG attack."
