Sunderland boss Roy Keane is enjoying the perfect partnership with former international team-mate Niall Quinn as they attempt to resurrect the club's fortunes.
Quinn staged a major coup in August when his Drumaville consortium persuaded the 35-year-old superstar to launch his management career on Wearside.
He has been rewarded in fine style with Keane collecting seven Coca-Cola Championship points from the first nine on offer to revive a season which was in serious danger of turning sour.
Quinn insisted on the day he unveiled his new boss that he would leave the football to the former Manchester United star and concentrate on the off-the-field rebuilding.
And as Keane prepared his side for tomorrow's trip to Ipswich, he admitted the chairman has been as good as his word.
He said with a smile: "It is very, very straightforward, no problem. I never see him. I think he has gone on holiday.
