Cole on target for the blues

Joe Cole marked his first start of the season by helping steer Chelsea into the fourth round of the Carling Cup after a 2-0 victory at Blackburn.
The England midfielder played 79 minutes after suffering a knee injury and looked lively on a surface saturated by rain.
Salomon Kalou added a second goal to make sure Chelsea did not suffer a repeat of last season's Barclays Premiership defeat at Ewood Park.
