Aston Villa have signed Chris Sutton on a deal that extends until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old is now the third player that manager Martin O'Neill has signed since he took over at Villa Park, joining Stilian Petrov and Didier Agathe. All three played under the Ulsterman at Celtic.
33-year-old Sutton was released from Birmingham City at the end of last season. He is one of the few players to have won titles both in the Premiership (with Blackburn) and the SPL (with Celtic)
Sutton should play a role in replacing injured Villa striker Luke Moore, who could be out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
