Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini revealed he had a civil "confrontation" with coach Jose Mourinho over the decision not to recall him for the Champions League clash with Barcelona in Spain.

Cudicini declared himself fit enough to face Barcelona in the Nou Camp but Mourinho kept faith with Hilario as the Blues earned a 2-2 draw.

The decision sparked rumours of a bust-up between Cudicini and the Portuguese coach, but the Chelsea goalkeeper made it clear that while he had confronted Mourinho over his decision there was no problem between the pair. Cudicini said: "It was a confrontation and we talked. It is something I have done in the past two years with him, so it was nothing major."
