Mark Kennedy has blasted Irish manager Steve Staunton for failing to even enquire about his form at Selhurst Park this season.
Kennedy won the last of his 34 senior caps against Russia almost five years ago.
Overlooked throughout the Brian Kerr regime, he has again been deemed surplus to requirements since Staunton took the top job earlier this year.
And the 30-year-old believes it would not have taken much for his former Irish teammate to keep tabs on his form this year.
He said: "I have played many games against numerous Irish players and not to have come to any of the games I think is pretty poor.
"Going back a while a go my dad would be on at me going, 'You need to say a bit more' but even he is staying quiet now.
