Kuyt still smarting
Dirk Kuyt had barely got his shirt dirty as a Liverpool player before he was on the wrong end of an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
And the Holland striker has not forgotten the shattering feeling that followed the 2-0 defeat the Reds suffered at Old Trafford back in October, only Kuyt's fifth start for his new club.
So when United go to Anfield on Saturday for a high-noon Barclays Premiership showdown, Kuyt does not want to be on the receiving end again. He said: "I think we owe our fans a performance after what happened at Old Trafford. That was a disappointing time and we definitely want a better result at Anfield this time."
