Tottenham manager Martin Jol is said to be considering a move for Blackburn Rovers and Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid.

Reid is unhappy at Ewood Park and has yet to agree an extension to his current contract, which has 12 months to run.

The 25-year-old is reportedly keen on a return to London - and that has alerted Spurs, who was impressed with the former Millwall man's contribution to Blackburn's successful season.

Jol could table a bid of around £2m for Reid, which could tempt Blackburn into cashing in on the versatile midfielder instead of losing him for nothing next summer.
