Douala to England

Sporting Lisbon midfielder Rodolph Douala's agent has claimed that the player is set to be playing Premiership football next season.

Middlesborough attempted to sign the Cameroon international last summer but nothing came of it as the Portugese clubs asking price was deemed to high. Douala was believed to be happy in Lisbon at the time but his agent Jorge Gama says the time is right for the 27-year-old to leave the club. A number of clubs from France and Spain have been linked but the players agent believes a move to England would be the first choice.

"If there are propositions, it is likely he will leave with England his probable destination." Gama told Radio Renascensa. "In the last few months the situation has changed and Sporting are now more open to his sale. Douala is not worried about his failure to sign for Middlesborough, but I believe the time is now right for him to move to a club with more potential."
