Chelsea chairman Peter Kenyon revealed that Carlton wants to play first team football, and with the arrival of Kalou at Stamford Bridge, the chances are growing slimmer and slimmer.
Tottenham are one of the clubs with an eye on the youngster and Reading are another. With Chelsea being admirers of Cole, a loan move may be more feasible for the player.
"Discussions have gone on with Carlton. He does want to play football and you have to appreciate that" said Kenyon to Chelsea TV.
"We are supportive of that and are currently in discussions with several clubs who have shown an interest."
"I think we will find the right solution for Carlton and for Chelsea in the next few weeks."
