Cole happy with German arrival
Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole believes the Barclays Premiership champions have shown their intention to improve next season by signing Germany international Michael Ballack.
Ballack, the 29-year-old midfielder who is out of contract with Bayern Munich, is set to be unveiled at Stamford Bridge today after several weeks of discussions over a salary reported to be worth £130,000 a week.
Cole said: 'It's fantastic for the club. He's a world-class player, the more world-class players we have, the more games we'll win and the more titles we'll win.'
