Released player Kenny Cunningham has launched an attack on his former boss. The former international blames Bruce as the main culprit for the demise of the midlands club. Kenny stated that there was a lack of organisation and team morale was very low.

The 34-year-old made 33 appearances in Blues' forlorn bid to beat the drop and does not go along with the hard luck stories espoused by the likes of Bruce and co-owner David Sullivan.

"Unfortunately, and I take no pleasure in saying this, the reason [for relegation] was due to a lack of organisation, preparation and attention to detail at the football club," Cunningham told the Birmingham Post.

"The only person who must take responsibility for that is the manager.

"The performance of the team on Saturday is directly influenced by what goes on and off the training pitch for the six days prior to that game. That is a fact. For me, our preparation was nowhere near good enough."
