Brian Kerr is considered the favourite to take up the vacant manager's job at the helm of the India national team after Dutch coach Clemence Westerhof withdrew from the running on Wednesday.
Westerhof, the former PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam coach, had been regarded as the front-runner to take up the job.
However, according to reports surfacing in India, he has withdraw from the race, leaving just Kerr, former Chelsea boss Ian Porterfield and ex-Malmo chief Bob Houghton still in the running.
Kerr was interviewed by Indian federation chiefs on Thursday, and a final decision is expected in the coming days.
