Juventus general director Luciano Moggi, who stepped down from the club's board last week amid a growing match-fixing probe, said yesterday he would also resign his position as the team's general director.
"As of tomorrow I will have resigned as general director of Juventus. And as of tonight soccer is no longer my world," Moggi said.
Moggi's comments came after Juventus repeated as Italian champion by beating Reggina 2-0.
"Now I will think only of defending myself from all the nasty things that are said about me," added Moggi, who is scheduled to be questioned today by investigators in Rome. He begged reporters not to ask him any more questions.
"My soul can't bear it. It's been killed," Moggi said.
