Ireland manager Steve Staunton has said he is not too bothered by Ireland's 1-0 defeat to Chile in last night's friendly tie at Lansdowne Road.
A 49th-minute goal from Manuel Irruta secured a deserved victory for the visitors, who posed major questions of the Irish defence.
Staunton admitted afterwards that his experimental 3-4-3 system did not work, but described the match as a "learning curve".
"I'm not too bothered," he said. "It's the end of a long hard season for them and they're going to have a good summer."
"Hopefully that will be the makings of them for next year."
