Frings - We will be champions
Torsten Frings claimed Germany will win the World Cup after putting out tournament favourites Argentina in dramatic fashion.
Jens Lehmann denied Roberto Ayala and Esteban Cambiasso in a penalty shoot-out to send the host nation into the final four.
After Ayala had given the South Americans a 49th-minute lead, the Germans looked to be going out until the 80th minute when Miroslav Klose netted an equaliser. But Frings claimed he never doubted Germanys ability to bounce back, and said: "We fought our way back in and at the moment the match went into penalties it was clear we would win because Jens would save two kicks."
