Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has been delayed in his bid to persuade Glenn Hoddle to reconsider his decision to step down as manager.

The two were due to meet for talks today after the former England boss tendered his resignation on Saturday, but discussions have now been put back, with Hoddle citing a "family issue" for his no show.

"Glenn has informed me that he has a family issue he needs to deal with today and so he is unable to make the meeting," Moxey told the club's official website www.wolves.co.uk.

"He has said he will contact me later today (Monday) to confirm when he will be available to meet. In the meantime, the board of directors are drawing up a plan of action."
