Bohs dominated this Dublin derby from start to finish. Shels scored the first goal from former Bohs striker Glen Crowe. That goal only inspired the home side to victory with former Shefield Utd and Birmingham striker Paul Devlin superb for the gypsies. Devo was causing havoc throughout the Shels defence and nearly scored an amzing opening goal after a superb run from the half way line. The Bohs goals came from Fergal Harkin and recent signing and former Bohs double winner Stephen Caffrey. Consequently amazing celebartions followed these goals as the bohs fans gained revenge on the tax evading club.
On a sour note for Bohs , Ollie Byrne the Shelbourne chairman claimed that Bohs defender Jason McGuiness was suspended for the game. Consequently the former prisoner is demanding a replay between the sides.
In response Bohs have confirmed that they followed the proper procedures and the result will stand. The bitter and pathetic actions from Shels is nothing new as they won the league in the courts a number of years ago. The club is a cancer within the Eircom League and there demise will eventually arise due to there over spending.
