Cork City manager Damien Richardson claims his side have a healthy respect for the great tradition of Uefa Champions League opponents Red Star Belgrade - but that his young and inexperienced side will show no fear at the Marakana this evening.

Cork have a mammoth task if they are to steal into a third qualifying round meeting with AC Milan following last week's first leg defeat at Turners Cross.

But Richardson is adamant that, despite the absence of four key players, City will be offer a brave resistance against Red Star.

Speaking at Tuesday's press conference, he said: "There is an immense gulf between the two clubs in terms of tradition. Red Star is one of the great clubs of European football and we do acknowledge that. We have great respect for that tradition.

"But tradition is yesterday. Cork City is a modern club, a young club who've come a long way in 22 years. That is based on bravery and it is also based on professionalism and we are a young, inexperienced, but very professional football club. The biggest part of professionalism is ambition and myself, my players and my club have great ambitions."
