Hughes glad to have Ooijer on board
Blackburn manager Mark Hughes is hoping Andre Ooijer's "winning mentality" rubs off on the rest of his side.
The 32-year-old Holland defender could make his debut against Chelsea on Sunday at Ewood Park after arriving from PSV Eindhoven. Ooijer has been a long-time target for Hughes and the Blackburn boss expressed his relief at finally securing the player's services on a two-year contract.
Hughes said: "I am absolutely delighted to get him here. We followed Andre and tracked him for a while. He ticks all the boxes for us. He is a guy of great experience - a seasoned international, a current international. He will bring a lot to the team and the club."
