Harry Redknapp has revealed an interest in signing Man City's English international goalkeeper David James. James who is 35 could be on his way to Portsmouth for £2 million.

The signing of David James would bring competition for Dean Kiely who signed for the club last January. James would be Portsmouth's third signing of the summer after the arrival of Glen Johnson on loan from Chelsea and David Thompson arriving on a free after being released by Wigan.

Redknapp has also shown an interest in former Arsenal stirker Kanu. The Nigerian international was released on a free transfer by West Brom after being relegated last season.
