German boss confident
Germany head coach Joachim Loew is confident that his side will produce a clinical performance in taking victory over Group D minnows San Marino tonight (Wednesday).
The Germans returned to the top ten in the Fifa world rankings following a successful World Cup, with San Marino, at the other end of the scale, listed at 191st of the 205 Fifa nations.
So, all told, Germany should coast to a comfortable win - and Loew is expecting nothing less.
He said: "We want to win, we will win, and we will not show ourselves up, I am sure of that. We will simply give each of our opponents during our tour of Europe the appropriate respect.
