Joachim Loew praised his team's professional attitude in showing no mercy to minnows San Marino in Serravalle on Wednesday evening.
The Germans racked up a record victory, with striker Lukas Podolski bagging four goals in a 13-0 win.
And Loew was happy with his side's display, declaring that his players had enjoyed the double-figure slaughter.
He said: "The team handled themselves very well, with a lot of professionalism, never losing rhythm and being clinical in front of goal.
"All in all, I think we saw lots of great goals and that we had fun. We now have a good base for the next matches."
